Vision:
As a member of the Interdenominational Assembly of Churches Association Ministry of EMMI, a Christian Corporation, you share the love of Christ and join other members around the world for mutual encouragement and support. By sharing fellowship through the IAoC, each organism is made stronger by access to a multitude of resources and expertise.
Our primary mission is to serve the local church or Christian Organization. The IAoC is here when you need help, resources, Christian education, and ministries. We can provide training for church leaders and advising during times of conflict. We assure you that your contributions make a difference and provide resources to help you preach the Gospels better.
FAIR SHARE refers to the donation.
As an organization, our survival depends on the support and donations our members provide. We exist to serve our members and rely on financial contributions to carry out our services.
The IAoC requires a membership donation plus each church supports the organization through the Fair Share; we also ask churches to contribute to the Cathedraticum of each bishopric.

Mainstream Christian churches do not recognize Jehovah’s Witnesses and Latter-day Saints (LDS) as Christian denominations because they reject historic Christian creeds and core traditional doctrines. Both groups state that they follow Jesus Christ and consider themselves Christian, but traditional Protestant, Catholic, and Orthodox churches point to fundamental differences in theology.
Rejection of the Trinity
- Traditional View: Mainstream Christianity teaches that God is one being in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (the Trinity).
- Jehovah’s Witnesses: They teach that Jehovah is the only almighty God, and they view Jesus as God’s first creation and an archangel, not as God.
- Latter-day Saints: They view the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost as three separate, distinct divine beings united in purpose.
Additional Scripture and Authority
- Traditional View: Mainstream Christian churches rely on the Holy Bible as the complete and final canon of scripture.
- Jehovah’s Witnesses: They use their own translation of the Bible, called the New World Translation, and rely on guidance from their leadership organization.
- Latter-day Saints: They accept the Bible, but they also use an expanded canon that includes the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price.
Rejection of Historic Creeds
- Traditional View: Traditional churches trace their roots through historical councils and accept ancient creeds, such as the Nicene Creed and Apostles’ Creed.
- Divergence: Both Jehovah’s Witnesses and Latter-day Saints reject these post-New Testament creeds, with the LDS church specifically teaching that historic Christianity fell into a total apostasy that required a divine restoration
Christian Science is not a Christian denomination because it rejects core traditional doctrines like the Trinity and the physical reality of sin and disease.
Denominational Status & Views
- Self-Definition: The Church of Christ, Scientist states that it is a Christian denomination based strictly on the Bible and the healing ministry of Jesus. It was founded in 1879 by Mary Baker Eddy.
- Mainstream Position: Catholic, Orthodox, and mainstream Protestant bodies classify it as outside historic Christianity due to its unorthodox interpretations. According to an analysis by The Gospel Coalition, the movement elevates extra-biblical writings to equal or superior authority.
Key Doctrinal Differences
- The Trinity: Christian Science is nontrinitarian and views God as divine Mind rather than a triune person.
- The Nature of Matter: Traditional Christianity affirms the physical creation and bodily resurrection, whereas Christian Science teaches that matter, sin, sickness, and death are ultimately illusions to be overcome through spiritual understanding.
- Theological Textbooks: Adherents use both the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy as their dual pastor and primary guide.

The Interdenominational Assembly of Churches is under the umbrella of Eric Michel Ministries International; it is an association of churches and para-churches worldwide. All our Theology and our philosophy are based on two passages of the Bible, first John1:1-5 and second, Ephesians 4: 4-6: one body and one Spirit (just as also you were called with one hope of your calling), one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in all. In one word, CHRIST.
